Shipping Clerk We have a unique opportunity for a Shipping Clerk to join a small, growing company in a position that will immerse you in multiple aspects of shipping and warehouse. If you are a fast-paced professional, with exceptional attention to detail and great communication skills, then the Shipping Clerk position may be a good fit for you. The Shipping Clerk position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing, in addition to frequently lifting items weighing 30-40 lbs. on average. Required Qualifications for the Shipping Clerk: • High school diploma or equivalent GED. • 2 years of experience in shipping. • Highly self-motivated, reliable “mover & shaker” with a positive, high-energy attitude. • Able to work unsupervised on own initiative. • Excellent attendance & punctuality. • Must have strong attention to detail with great counting/math aptitude. • Highly accurate, organized & energized. • Great communication skills with enthusiastic attitude to work with others in a friendly, professional manner. • Computer literate and proficient. • Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs. and working on feet for an 8-hour shift. • Able to attain an OSHA approved forklift certification. • Experienced with material handling equipment such as forklift, hand truck & electric pallet jacks. Shipping Clerk – Major Job Responsibilities Include: • Perform all aspects of S&R to include: parts pulling, some assembly, packaging, palletizing, weighing, labeling and loading. • Accurately read paper pick list to locate and manually pull products from shelves. • Capacity to accurately confirm quantities & verify against shipping documentation. • Proficiently and securely package products to ship. • Verify paperwork is consistent with shipping labels on packages. • Package sizes vary from small airfreight boxes, up to palletized ground freight boxes. • Move, stack, store and transfer materials, supplies and merchandise in and about facility and storage area. • Put together kits and assemblies for shipping & inventory. • Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality or need for rejection. • Use of computer for shipping & inventory. • Work with truck drivers to load and unload trucks. • Assist in Will Call for customers.
