Seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team! Our maintenance team over-sees all maintenance and turnover in multiple apartment buildings in North Hollywood and Van Nuys. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible, under the direction of the Regional Property Manager and the Maintenance Supervisor, for the overall maintenance of the apartment complexes and all areas related to the day‐to‐day maintenance operations of the community. While providing world class customer service skills and executing resident service requests, you will collaborate with the team to create innovative preventative maintenance ideas that will increase safety levels and decrease property expenses. Thorough knowledge of preparing for resident move ins and outs, as well as general household repair aptitudes will be the keys to your success. ABOUT THE BUILDINGS: - All buildings are new and opened after 2016 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Electrical, plumbing, drywall, and painting - Repair and treat structures such as toilets, showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors - Make ready units for new move‐ins - Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems - Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance. An on-call program rotation is scheduled between maintenance technicians - Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program aligned with company policies - Coordinate special projects as directed REQUIREMENTS: - At least two (2) years of apartment or hotel maintenance experience is required. If you do not have this level of experience, please do not submit your application - CLEAN criminal history (no misdemeanors or felonies), good credit, etc. Background check is required. - Applicant must have a valid CA driver’s license and working automobile as some light driving is required (e.g., pick up supplies, visit the main management office, mail notices at the post office, etc.) - Must be proficient with email, internet, texting, writing letters, etc. - Applicant must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships - Must be willing to travel to the properties within the portfolio.
