FULL-TIME APARTMENT PORTER/JR. MAINTENANCE

Join RPK Development Corp. as we add to our staff at a beautiful 280+unit apartment community in San Dimas. We are now searching for that “superstar” Porter/Jr. Maintenance, who is a team-player, professional, courteous, has a “can-do” attitude and will have solid janitorial, plumbing, electrical, painting, and apartment turnover experience. This position is also responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of all common areas of the asset. DUTIES • Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the property in line with established standards, including the grounds, building exteriors, breezeways, hallways, stairwells, leasing office, pool and spa areas, amenities and other common areas. • Cleans and sanitizes all public restrooms. • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, dusts, and vacuums hallways, stairs, office space and other public areas. • Operates equipment necessary to strip and wax floors, shampoo carpets, and pressure wash. • Maintains exterior public and common areas, such as parking facilities, walkways, mail rooms, laundry rooms (if applicable), pool and spa areas, etc., by removing debris, sweeping, and washing down • Assist with work orders and unit turnovers • Minor Plumbing repairs • Minor Electrical repairs • Minor Appliance repairs • Drywall repairs/painting • The Porter/Jr. Maintenance is responsible for complying with the company’s and community’s operating and safety policies and procedures and for adhering to federal, state and/or local laws pertaining to the operation of the property. • The Porter/Jr. Maintenance is also responsible for complying with all federal, state and/or local laws relating to Fair Housing. • Other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS • We require a minimum of 2 years’ experience in multifamily residential properties • Experience utilizing Yardi Voyager/ Rent Café for maintenance requests, preferred • Highly motivated and able to work independently • Works clean and efficiently • Excellent organizational skills; attention to details, strong verbal and written communication skills • Works patiently, professionally and cooperatively with tenants, providing exceptional maintenance service at all times • Outstanding janitorial service skills The ideal candidate will have their own tools.
