35 year company seeking individuals that are looking to develop a career path! Shop Assistant Duties and Responsibilities • Primary duty would be to assemble, weld, grind, and finish production units. • Operate equipment such as band saw, cut off saw, belt sander, drill press, disc grinder, and welder. Training will be provided • Provide general assistance around the shop, including administrative and technical tasks • Load and unload delivery trucks as needed • Clean and maintain equipment as needed • Provide assistance to project managers, shop supervisors, and the quality inspection team as needed Requirements and Qualifications • High school diploma or GED equivalent • Aptitude for mechanics • Familiarity with hand tools • Capacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasks • Strong communication skills • Exceptional hand-eye coordination • Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 70 pounds • Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials • Valid drivers license with reliable mode of transportation • Seeking long term employees looking for a career path
