Seeking crew members to work as part of a team constructing barb wire fences to secure abandoned mines throughout the state of Nevada. Get paid to travel, explore, and camp in remote locations all over the Silver state. We work in all weather conditions and climates encountered throughout the state. Experience preferred but not required. Must have a reliable 4x4 truck that can carry materials. Must be able to travel frequently on short notice. The position is full-time year-round starting immediately. Must be located in the Las Vegas area. All trips begin/end from Las Vegas, Nevada. We typically spend 7-12 days at a time in the field working (and camping) and an average of 3-7 days off in-between deployments. Minimum Qualifications: -The ability to follow directions safely -Smartphone with a working camera -4x4 truck to carry materials and personal gear ($25 per day plus mileage reimbursement at standard IRS rate) -Be able to carry and hike with at least 85 pounds on rough terrain The ideal applicant would possess: -Orienteering and map reading skills -Emergency medical training/CPR are a huge plus (WFR/EMT) -Welding and fabricating skills not required but a plus -Team player with a good attitude even when conditions and terrain are tough -Overlanding/offroading experience preferred but not required -ATV/motorcycle experience -Basic mechanic skills to work on your vehicle in the field Benefits -Wages starting at $15-18 per hour depending on experience -Raise every 6 weeks of work completed in the field. -$25 per day for truck reimbursement plus mileage reimbursement -$35 per day for per diem when camping -Get paid every Friday -All tools and materials are paid for by the company -Health insurance available after 6 Months This is a great position for individuals that love to be outside and work independently and as part of a team. Ideal candidates have prior experience working outdoors conducting fieldwork i.e. State Parks, Forest Service, Firefighting, Military, River Guide, Mountain Guide, etc.
