JOB DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this job is to perform all cleaning tasks as described in our contract with the government. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.  Dry mop and wet mop floors, buff floors with 20 inch rotos, scrub and buff floors with automatic machine, vacuum carpets with industrial vacuum for cleaning and bacteria control.  Transport trash from utility rooms and other collection points to incinerator/compactor/pick-up area.  Clean induction units, light fixtures, and windows inside and out.  Move furniture  Wash ceiling, walls and blinds, collect soiled linen, attend meetings and training meetings when required.  Assist in the cleaning of emergency spills that are observed or requested. JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Be able to perform Floor tech job duties as well as custodial services  Understand written and oral instruction  Understand and absorb new work methods.  Understand job levels and area levels so as to perform any task under this job description.
