We are growing quickly and we have an immediate opening for a PART-TIME Auto Body Shop Custodian/Automotive Detailer (3x/week) FULL-TIME available if you do well.Overview: Custom Classics Auto Body & Restoration is family owned and one of the nation's largest classic car restoration and auto body repair centers in business for over 38 years. Responsibilities: Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by adhering to SOP’s for picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning & stocking bathrooms and detail bay. Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules Attends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required Performs other duties as assigned Washes and conditions vehicle exterior, including tires, wheels, under-carriage, and under-hood components and waxing/buffing Cleans and conditions vehicle interior, including vacuuming, shampooing, applying fabric/leather treatments, polishing, and removing dust. Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation and completes final quality control checklist. Ensures that work areas are clean. Job Requirements: Follow Standard Operating Procedures for daily facility cleaning At least 1 year of experience and verifiable past work references with automotive detailing, buffing, waxing is required; reliability and pride in work product required. Follow quality control checklist to assure all aspects of detailing completed prior to vehicle being returned to customer. Maintain valid driver’s license No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record. Maintain neat and clean appearance; should be personable and properly represent Custom Classics due to direct contact with customers. Must be punctual and regular and reliable in attendance at our Island Lake, IL location. **Payment commensurate with experience. Typically $12-$16+ an hour IF YOU'RE INTERESTED, PLEASE EMAIL US ASAP!
