The person in this role is a highly organized & self-motivated individual who can effectively supervise a large team of janitors & oversee multiple worksites located in Spokane & surrounding outlying areas. SCHEDULE: Part-time. Requirements: ✧ Two years of janitorial and one-year supervisory experience required ✧ CPR and First Aid Training required within first six months employment and kept current. ✧ Possess a driver’s license, valid insurance, and a good driving record ✧ Ability to use and understand computer applications ✧ Experience with MS Office ✧ Demonstrated ability to work independently and in cooperation with all staff, management, and team members ✧ Ability to work with people of ALL abilities; demonstrated ability to work with individuals of all diverse backgrounds ✧ The ability to work a flexible to include nights and weekends as needed Essential Functions: ✧ Assures Coverage of all Facilities Nightly and assists with ensuring overall customer satisfaction ✧ Trains janitorial staff, schedules janitors for multiple worksites, and extensive follow-up with staff to ensure cleaning quality exceeds account specifications ✧ Presents monthly safety meeting, order and deliver supplies and maintain equipment ✧ Responsible for regular quality data collection and record-keeping, such as daily logs, employee timesheets, and work reports, among other necessary paperwork ✧ Monitors employees in areas of performance, training needs, and disciplinary action ✧ Reviews and revises regular and periodic cleaning schedules. Complete lists of equipment, employee rosters, chemical, and other needed submittals as required Physical Requirements: ✧ Frequently lifting 50 pounds ✧ Carrying or pushing/pulling is required ✧ Frequently engages in heavy work which requires, in addition to those activities listed above, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and climbing ✧ Standing an estimated 80% and sitting an estimated 20% of the time (Will, on occasion, participate in less labor-intensive administrative duties) At Northwest Center, we do not just accept diversity and inclusion — we celebrate it, support it, live it, and flourish in it to benefit our employees, the community, and our clientele.
