Parks Maintenance Technician – Multiple Openings Parks & Recreation Department HP#2021-72 Pay Salary Range: $47,623 - $62,668 annually. Starting Salary is $47,623 - $57,941 (depending on qualifications) Full-time, non-exempt position with full benefits package. The Parks Maintenance Technician will work with an experienced team of parks professionals taking care of the diverse parks in Hillsboro where you can enhance people’s daily lives and leave a lasting impact for future generations. Our Parks Maintenance Team is expanding as we bring on new parks in South Hillsboro and the Hidden Creek Community Center. Our ideal candidates will have previous experience in landscape maintenance - including routine maintenance and repairs to large central-controlled irrigation systems, maintenance of turf care, tree and shrub maintenance, landscape bed maintenance, or sports field maintenance. New exciting projects include: • Two new parks opened in South Hillsboro in 2019 and another is anticipated to open in the spring of 2021. • The new Hidden Creek Community Center is slated to open in the spring of 2021. • Additional future parks as well as the Crescent Park Greenway. General Statement of Duties Performs a variety of maintenance and repair duties specific to functional area of assignment; performs directly related work as required. Acceptable Experience and Training Some maintenance and repair experience specific to functional area of assignment; or any combination of experience and training which provides the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work. Licensing/Certifications • Possession of a valid State Driver’s License, and a safe driving record; • Public Pesticide Applicator’s License - preferred • Class B or above CDL - preferred Required Attachments • Resume EOE
