Sherman Mills is looking for an experienced, responsible, semi-retired Part-Time Maintenance Technician for our property. We are looking for a knowledgeable and skillful individual with commercial/residential experience to become a part of our maintenance division. This individual will be working Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30am to 4pm, with a half hour lunch break. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Completing work orders and turnovers per company standards. Performing repairs, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for a mixed use residential and commercial property. Performing preventative maintenance around the properties including air filter replacement, and any and all equipment. Qualifications: Must be able to complete minor plumbing repairs including toilet, fixture, and hot water tank installations. Must be able to troubleshoot appliances and replace garbage disposals, dishwashers, microwaves, ovens, and refrigerators. Must have electrical experience and be able to replace outlets and switches, install ceiling fans and light fixtures. Must be able to maintain sprinkler system, winterize outdoor water conduit system and any other outdoor water systems. Is able to perform a variety of general maintenance tasks, such as basic carpentry, installation of assorted fixtures, electrical and plumbing repairs, and sweat a solder joint. Proficient with a variety of hand and power tools commonly used in construction and maintenance. Communicates effectively and tactfully with co-workers and residents of the facility with a positive attitude and strong customer service orientation. Must act in a professional manner. Must have own tools. HVAC knowledge is a plus. Must provide references. Physical Demands: • Heavy lifting • Must be able to climb ladders, stairs We are a drug-free workplace.
