Betta Girl Desperately Needs A Home!

Description

I hate to do this to my beany girl, especially with how much we've been working on her temperament, but I'm no longer able to provide for her. She used to be severely abused, kept in deplorable conditions to the point where she wasn't even fed, no water changes were performed, and no one gave a care whether or not she was lonely, or even alive for that matter. When I first brought her home she was skittish and emaciated, but with months of rehabilitation, good food and water quality, and plenty of TLC, she's become the happiest, chunkiest, sassiest little thing! She still gets scared when I look into the top of her tank, but I hope that one day, she'll know that no one is here to hurt her :) I really need Bean to go to someone who will love her unconditionally, and who will provide for her. She's not your typical confident, dance-y Betta. She needs an established 10 gallon (no less, no more) with plenty of hiding areas, no other tankmates besides snails, a proper high-protein diet, and frozen or live foods that you can feed her directly with a turkey baster or tweezers to further build up her confidence. I would prefer for her to go with someone who has done their research or has personal experience with Bettas, and one without cats (or kids) digging their paws into the tank...that's the last thing she needs. Bean is very special to me, we have formed an incredibly strong bond, so I won't settle with the "minimum". Please please please only contact me if you're truly serious. I won't mind holding onto her for a little while longer until the right person shows, but then again, I can't keep her for too long. I apologize for the strict-ness but I'm sure you understand. Bean will come with the rest of her food, freeze-dried gammarus, a pack of frozen brine shrimp, and her special reindeer ornament (I don't know if it show real significance to her, but she seems to like it). Her rehoming fee is $25, just to be extra sure she finds the right home. Thank you for reading! :)
