Description
We are looking for a lead singer for an opening we have in our Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band. The guy we are looking for must have some singing skills and experience as well. Lynyrd Skynyrd was comprised of very talented musicians including the lead singer who was the leader of the band. You might have played some of their songs in the past if you have been in a classic rock band such as Sweet home Alabama, Gimme three steps, Freebird and maybe others but if you take the time to learn the song like they played them on their albums (cds) the songs are much more complex than you originally thought.
As the lead singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd Ronnie Van Zant was the heart and soul of the band. Without his vocals they would have never had the success they achieved. We are looking for that guy that can tell a story like Ronnie did. You don't have to have a high voice like Steve Perry of Journey, Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin or Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. Ronnie could hit a few high notes in his songs but most of them are an easy pitch level.
Tribute bands usually play larger venues, have larger crowds, get a sound check, get paid more, usually get food and drinks and if travel is required get rooms. They normally play fairs, festivals, casinos and corporate events. In a tribute band you are moving up in accommodations and in pay.
This is not a new project but rather an established local tribute band already in the local circuit.
Before you respond to this ad please do a little homework and check Lynyrd Skynyrd out on youtube. Their music is not for everyone. If you are not interested in doing their music please don't respond to our ad because no one is going to be happy. We want someone who is in to Lynyrd Skynyrd music as much as we are. If you are interested in playing this great rock music project please respond to our ad.
