***Warehouse Associate / General Laborers Needed *** ***Apply in person at Glass Worx | 10612 Hempstead Rd. Houston, TX 77092*** Starting Salary: $ 12.00 Increases available after successful performance review. We offer benefits, paid holidays and paid time off! Essential Functions: • Handling glass from tables, rolling racks, for eight to ten hours daily. • Transporting of materials including glass from one position/location to another, to expedite the production. • Operate basic hand tools for fabrication. • Follow work instructions- Reading labels to expedite the production process, understand and communicate paperwork and labels/ picking list. • Ensure correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed • Understanding layout of the facility to ensure proper product flow. • Inspecting product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues. • Prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup according to schedule and/or sales order. • Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery or customer pick up. • Document/Record selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers • Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations • Work in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations • Load finished product onto company and/or customer vehicles. • Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed. • Other duties as assigned by the Shop Supervisor and/or upper management Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day. Ability to lift 5-25 pounds frequently and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work Environment: May be occasionally exposed to variable weather conditions. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
