Italian food distributor is looking for a hard-working Shipping/Receiving Clerk who will also assist with deliveries and pick up of orders in the tri-state area. The candidate should have at least one year experience as a shipping/receiving clerk managing incoming and outgoing deliveries as well as assisting with deliveries. All candidates must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background and drug test and have a clean driving record. Employment is contingent on passing all three. Job Duties: Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries and recording them Receive merchandise and sign for delivery slips Put received material away in correct location, operating forklift as needed Trouble shoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them Ability to record location of incoming/outgoing goods Verify no damaged items are sent or receive Prepare order for pick up by printing shipping labels and postage Track shipments and deliveries Load and unload trucks Deliver or pick up orders in tri-state area following best practices for safety Obtain customer signature for all orders delivered or picked up Meet delivery deadlines Skills and Qualifications: Detail-oriented and multitasking skills Good analytical and problem solving skills Good interpersonal skills Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklift Ability to maintain accurate records A valid driver's license Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule Physical ability to load and unload products up to 30 lbs Able to stand up for long periods of time Must be 18 years or older to apply.
