Well established landscape design, construction, and maintenance/gardening company on Cape Cod is looking for full and part time employees. Jensen Landscapes is celebrating our 40th year in business. For applicants who are just getting into the Green Industry, or have an interest in learning all aspects of landscaping, we are the company for you. We have, appreciative clients and produce high quality design and service in a laid back work environment. As an employee and team member of Jensen Landscapes, you will learn everything there is to know about landscape design, construction, maintenance, gardening and property management. Projects include all aspects of landscape design, light carpentry, fence installation, land clearing, surface and subsurface drainage, septic system repair, tree felling and pruning, masonry construction, driveway construction, timber wall construction, irrigation installation and repairs, high end gardening, lawn care, planting, meadow maintenance, etc… Jensen Landscapes will train you to be prolific in machine operation, pesticide management and application, organic land care, and potentially further your education with such organizations as Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professionals, Massachusetts Arborists, Accredited Organic Land Care Professionals, and others. 40 hour work week with option for overtime if desired. Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license. Work Hour Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 A.M.-4:00 P.M. Saturday (Optional) Pay Rate: $16-$20/hr. starting pay for seasonal employees, depending on experience. Overtime pay rate is 1.5 times hourly wage. $16-$35/hr. starting pay for full time employees, depending on experience. Overtime pay rate is 1.5 times hourly wage. Qualifications: -Applicants must be dependable, mature, hard working, and thoughtful with attention to detail. -Must have desire to extend and/or develop a career in the landscape/ gardening field. -Must be sociable with fellow employees and customers and willing to be a member of a team to address situations such as design brainstorming, project operation, and problem solving. -Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license. -Must have ability to lift over 75 pounds. -Must have ability to operate small machinery such as lawn mowers, string trimmers, chain saws, carpentry tools, etc... Additional Qualifications: -Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professionals encouraged to apply. -Accredited Organic Land Care Professionals encouraged to apply. -Experience running Walker lawn mowers preferred. -Hoisting Engineering license required to operate large machinery.
