Position(s) of need: Pipe Crew Installer General Description: Pipe crew installers work under the supervision and at the direction of a foreman. Installers perform a variety of tasks such as checking grades, mixing cement, cutting pipe to lengths, and communicating trench conditions to foreman. Installers typically are working in open trenches alone or with a partner. Typical work week is Monday – Friday 7am – 5 pm. Occasional Saturday work. No travel required, home every night. Duties/Responsibilities: • Report to work on time, ready to work every day. • Everyday use of hand and power tools to accomplish daily tasks • Fine grading trench bottom to achieve proper grades • Helping to keep site trailers, work trucks, and project site neat and tidy. • Always being aware of on-site hazards and effectively/consistently communicating hazard avoidance with crew members Position Requirements: • Cordial personality, works well with others, and comfortable taking directions. This position is largely entry level and applicant should be willing to learn from others while working toward to overall goal of producing a quality product. • High School diploma or GED • Valid drivers license • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests • Ability to consistently lift 50+ lbs. or more. Physical dexterity required for general labor, loading/unloading equipment and materials, climbing on/off multiple pieces of equipment, climbing in/out of trenches each day, and assisting with various construction tasks is essential. • Constant, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • Ability to effectively and positively work in an outdoor environment. This position will require work thru hot summer days and cold winter months. This position is exposed to all element’s year around. Applicant should be comfortable working in an outdoor environment regardless of conditions. Additionally, the majority of our takes place in rough terrain. The ability to traverse uneven/rough surfaces will be required. Preferred Skills: • Valid Commercial Drivers License • Experience around heavy construction and/or underground utilities installation • Ability to read construction plans and effectively communicate plans to others Company Benefits: • Competitive pay.
