When: June 14 - 16 Time: 9:00am – 12:00pm Location: South Metro Sports 10561 Success Ln Centerville, Oh 45458 Description: Our 2021 basketball clinic will be hosted at South Metro Sports in Centerville, Ohio for middle school girls ages 12 to 14. The three-day clinic will be instructed by local area coaches, and including the Boys Varsity Basketball coach for Stivers High School, Mark Parker. Coach Parker was chosen as our Lead Coach due to his effective coaching methods that have inspired students, through life lessons that he incorporates into his coaching strategies to create well rounded players on and off the court. Coach Parker is in his second year as Head Coach at Dayton Stivers and continues to build onto the successes he has already acquired. In his first year, he led Stivers to their second consecutive district title and unlike the prior year of falling short for district, they won the title during the 2019 State OHSAA DIII Boys Basketball Playoffs. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 their season would end abruptly. Coach Parker has many years of experience in HS basketball and is one of the best well-rounded coaches in the Dayton area. His fun and effective coaching style and teaching method qualifies him as our Lead Instructor and we are proud that he will be joining our team for our inaugural year of ongoing summer clinics. During the three-day clinic participants will enhance their basketball fundamentals and footwork. They’ll have classroom lectures, along with exposure to state certified officials, and interactions with our guest speakers. Our goal is to mentally prepare them for the next level and to improve their overall game IQ. The goal of our program is to further the development of participants towards competing at a higher level in preparation for high school ball. We will teach them how to train for greatness on the court, in the classroom, and for life outside of basketball. Together, with Coach Parker and the other instructors, your child will build upon their skills while making fun memories with teammates.
