Learn a new skill and have fun! 3D printing is a form of rapid prototyping technology, capable of rendering digital 3D models and scans in our physical environment. This 2 hour training session will guide you through every step of the process required to use our Lulzbot Taz 6 printer safely and effectively. Students will learn how to use Cura Lulzbot Edition to prepare files for the printer. Software ( Cura): STL files and slicing software Slicer settings: extruder and bed temp., print speedsSlicer output files: gcodeHardware (Lulzbot): PowerControl panel useFilament loading/unloadingSelf-calibration, care, and heatingSD card readerMoving parts, maintenance: threaded rods- silicon or lithium based grease (no petroleum). Other: clean, dry cloth.Removing prints from bed, toolsShared use policyMalfunction proceduresConsumable materials and restockingThis tool is available for family use! Thank you! About the Instructor Robert Batista, is a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He has experience with 3D printers through his internships with Growbox and WorcLab. His hobbies include photography, 3D modeling, and 3D printing.
