SCPTR's Bicycle Day 2021 is a celebration of Life, Consciousness, Connection and Psychedelic Medicines. Bicycle Day 2021 is a celebration hosted by Salt City Psychedelic Therapy and Research. We plan to gather at 430pm and eventually take a ride/walk thru the park together. SCPTR's vision of Bicycle Day 2021 is to finally come together after a long year apart... to celebrate Life, Connection, Consciousness and the Psychedelic medicines that allow for healing and growth. It all began in 1943.... Bicycle Day is the day that we celebrate Albert Hofmann’s discovery of the power of LSD. After synthesizing it in 1943, he purposefully applied a little on himself and had visions as he rode home from the lab. Thus began a new era of research into how psychedelics can heal, promote growth and consciousness and help creativity... This was also the beginning of the modern era of neurochemistry and the understanding that neurotransmitters affect mood and behavior. Please join us at Liberty Park, in your funkiest attire, with your 2wheel steed, ready to meet up with your Tribe. We invite you to come dressed in your best Burning Man attire or Bike Prom wear to celebrate Life with us. Entertainment will include a Drum Circle and a live DJ. Make your Bike CRUISING ART - Whether you choose to turn your bike into an Elephant, Go Retro, or Funk Out.... we hope you consider finding a fun way to express yourself. This is a free outdoor event with plenty of space to socially distance. We ask that you bring/wear a mask as appropriate. By April, many will have received the vaccine and we hope many will feel much safer meeting together outside. The event will be weather dependent so check this page or facebook event if the weather is questionable. At the Intermountain Psychedelics Symposium in 2020, we promised to bring the SCPTR Tribe together often to gather and share. The fees go to support research and future programs of Salt City Psychedelic Therapy and Research. We are a nonprofit that is committed to harm reduction, education, and research. SCPTR serves the Salt Lake community by hosting events and trainings that enlighten and educate and build the local Tribe. We also serve the national psychedelic community with an 8 week Psychedelic Therapy Training Program that begins on March 1st. SCPTR Volunteer - We will need help before and during the event.
