Description
Primary Job Functions: Feeding, caring for and cleaning after sows and piglets. Job position has various aspects and duties. Process newborn piglets, i.e., cut teeth, give shots, and ear notch. Provide medications needed to sows and piglets. Cleaning and sanitizing after pigs are moved to new barn.
Secondary Job Functions: Learning basic operation of all barns to help when needed. Moving pigs from barn to barn as scheduled. Weighing and sorting pigs for market. Maintenance and upkeep of facilities.
There are weekend chores every 5th weekend.
Pig Ranch is in Idaho, and located approximately 5 miles south of Farmington, WA or 25 miles northwest of Moscow, ID.
We can train you in all aspects of this job. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation. Must be able to lift 80 lbs. Be able to work well with animals and as a team.
