COURSE CONTENT The Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) course is a 16-hour training program specifically designed to meet the needs of those working in the public and semi-public recreational pool or water park facilities. The course provides information and training for both supervisory and operation personnel. In-depth instruction will be given on filtration, disinfecting, water testing and treatment, design consideration, facility management, risk management, facility trouble shooting and much more. The AFO certification course is the most comprehensive program available for those responsible for operating clean, safe, and efficient aquatic facilities. CLASS & TESTING SCHEDULE THURS, APRIL 8th, 8AM - 5PM FRI, APRIL 9th, 8AM - 5PM, Optional 5PM - 7PM First Test Option SAT, APRIL 10th, 9AM - 12PM Second Test Option CERTIFICATION Upon successful completion of the AFO Course and the 50-question exam, participants will be officially certified by the National Certification Board of NRPA. Certification is valid for five years and is renewable. Test-out option will be offered at this class for those that have expired AFO certificates. Please contact Kory for details. INSTRUCTOR The AFO Instructor is Kory Parker. He has a 32-year diverse background in aquatic facility operations, management, chemistry and years of “Hands On” experience.
