Rowdy Gowdy Women's Mountain Bike Skills Camp June 4-6, 2021
Two day mountain bike skills camp at Curt Gowdy State Park for women (only), ages 21 and older, June 4th-6th, 2021 (early check in on June 4). Beginner and intermediate mountain bikers are welcome and encouraged to participate. If you are not sure of your skill level, please contact us (see email below). Skill and fitness levels will be evaluated to help develop appropriate rider sessions. Mechanic education session will be presented on Sunday.
Ride sessions will be on the IMBA Epic trails at Curt Gowdy State Park. Participants will be camping at Camp Jack on Saturday evening June 5th and are welcome to camp Friday, June 4th if possible. Participants will need to bring their own camping gear. Camping at Camp Jack is included in registration. Those wanting to camp within Curt Gowdy State Park campgrounds will need to reserve sites separately. Furthermore, a Wyoming State Parks Pass is required for each vehicle and is not included in the registration.
Due to Covid-19 precautions, we will not be providing food at this camp. All participants must bring their own food and water. There will be adequate breaks for lunch to promote safe eating environments (eat at your own camp site or private area).
We will also be splitting participants into small groups (5-6 individuals) to limit exposure. All demos and instruction will be done with social distance spacing. Masks will be required when within 6-feet of another rider. We expect all participants to make good judgement during and prior to the event to reduce risk (participants, coaches, and volunteers) of exposure to the virus.
Please contact us at [email protected] if you need additional details.
