A&W Maintenance & Coatings is based out of Middleboro, MA, and looking to fill positions on our crews. Our office is located in Middleboro and you will be spending most of your days not at this location. We currently have many projects up and down the East Coast and you will be expected to travel. Travel will be covered by A&W, but you must be willing to travel. As a technician, you will prepare different surfaces for spray application, apply Warren Environmental's 100% Solids Epoxy coating, and conduct QC practices including testing and inspecting completed structures. This includes, but not limited to, work in a confined space such as manholes, pipelines, and other wastewater and potable water structures. Coatings Technician job responsibilities include: Complete surface preparation of different surface types using abrasive blasting or water blasting (pressure washing) equipment. Perform functions of a Laborer as required. Sandblast to remove debris from metal. Operate electric and hand tools. Operate a high PSI pressure washer and spray gun. Spray and Trowel epoxy onto various structures. Operate Spray Equipment Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean. Promote company Goals and Philosophies. QUALIFICATIONS NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY OR PREFERRED, WE WILL TRAIN YOU! Must be willing to travel in and out of state when needed. Must feel comfortable working in a confined space for long periods. Willing to complete field training in Massachusetts. Willing to learn and perform work according to the company’s procedure. Must be able to stand for long periods. Complete a Full-Face Respirator Fit Test for pre-employment. Able to complete a “Confined Space Training” (provided by A&W) Able to complete OSHA 10 and other safety training. (provided by A&W) Able to travel across the country for on-going field training.
