I'm getting a jump on scheduling a spring job since planning ahead may take some time. Our 2400 sq/ft brick home was painted by a former owner (done poorly/wrong product). It has begun to peal in spots and we want to return to the original brick. I'm looking for someone with EXPERIENCE with products such as "Smart Strip" (No, we don't want to sandblast because of the potential to damage the brick - please don't offer that as a solution. I've done my research and have made my decision on what process to use - stripping). I have ordered and received a sample kit of 3 levels of strength from the company to find out which would work best for our particular project. If another product is suggested by you, a test must be conducted prior to any work being contracted. (And yes, we will want scope of work and pricing in writing). I'm looking for someone who is INSURED! This is my home and I want experience regarding the process and protection from damage to the home or injury to you and/or your crew. If you're the real deal, know what you're doing, can prove it and will do this the right way from start to finish (testing, contract/agreement, complete the work properly, etc) then feel free to respond. If you're just looking to make a buck with no regard to professionalism - then move on and click the next gig you see on CL.
