Description

Layla is an older shepherd mix with a bobbed tail. She's tan with a white face and underside. She is wearing a purple collar. Layla is twelve and about 55 pounds. She has been dealing with a new food allergy, which has caused her to loose a patch of hair on her left hip. She is very well cared for. She needs meds. Layla is a beloved family dog, I have a three year old son and she sleeps at the base of his bed, and my best friend for over a decade. I got her at a year old... She's a rescue and was previously abused, so she is shy and may be spooked easily. She responds to females best. Loud kids and men can scare her (due to abuse). We were camping in upper Gardner Canyon, about a mile past the junction to the Arizona Trail (past the creek crossing/puddle). We were fine and about to go to sleep on 2/25 when a carload of drunkards parked 150 feet from our camp spot. There was nobody around for a quarter mile, but they chose to park right by my camp and our light. Layla got spooked and retreated into the canyon before I could reach her. I then searched and searched and searched and yelled and whistled. Campers said she was spotted at the creek crossing near the AZ Trail at 10am on 2/26, heading downstream. She may have been spotted in Sonoita, which is twelve miles from our campsite. I'm hoping she has been picked up. Any info is welcomed, even if bad news. A humble reward is offered (everything I can muster). PLEASE CALL OR TEXT WITH ANY INFO
