Small and growing Landscape Design and Install company specializing in hardscaping, irrigation, and eco-friendly plantings and maintenance seeks a reliable and hardworking skilled gardener for the maintenance wing of our company. Gardening Maintenance: Seeking knowledgeable and meticulous gardener type for the weekly maintenance route. This is a mix of fine gardening and maintenance upkeep so we need someone who has horticultural knowledge, understands plant care, can troubleshoot and repair basic irrigation, identify & treat diseases. We use all electric equipment, all organic fertilizers, and no chemical pesticides. We are not a mow and blow company, and pride ourselves on being meticulous, knowledgeable and good for the environment. Necessary skills: Plant ID Irrigation Repair & Troubleshooting Time Management Ability to see what needs to be done and make a realistic plan for the time you will be there Some managerial skills helpful  We provide Tools but do ask that you have your own pruners/PPE Transportation to job sites required, as you will be visiting 3-4 in a day (mostly in the neighborhoods of Berkeley/Oakland) No smoking/drinking/drug use anywhere near job sites. We offer competitive pay & paid lunch break & travel time, and a somewhat flexible schedule. We are also kind and compassionate people to work for, and believe in treating anyone who works with us well! Job is 1099 aka Independent Contractor This is currently 1 day per week but is quickly growing and could easily become more work than that. All jobs are outside so it's a safer environment than most, however masks will still be worn (especially if you can't maintain 6+ ft distance/in some places it's easier than others), hand sanitizing is necessary, etc. **We also have a position open on our install team, so if you are looking for 4 days per week doing plantings, hardscaping, installing irrigation systems, general labor, let us know!
