We are a material supplier of doors, moulding and windows based in San Jose CA. We are seeking a Driver to deliver material to job sites, yard duties and assist the shop. This is Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week, position. Minimal overtime required. Position Requirements: • Valid CA Class C driver's license • Clean driving record • Experience driving a 24' flatbed truck or equivalent • Ability to read maps/direction in order to determine the most efficient manner to make deliveries • Forklift experience • Must be fluent in English and possess ability to write legibly. Bilingual a plus! • Must be punctual and maintain an acceptable attendance record • Must be able to understand, and complete instruction furnished • Able to maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers and clientele • Must have reliable transportation to and from work Responsibilities include: • Able to follow strict safety standards on and off the road • Inspect vehicles for defects and safe operating conditions before and after trips • Load and properly secure material to ensure safe and shift-free transport • Deliver and/or pickup material to and/or from job sites and vendors • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and equipment • Maintain a safe and courteous driving record • Assist with yard and shop duties • Able to plan and organize work activities independently Physical Requirements: • Must be in good health and physically able to perform all duties of a driver and warehouse worker • Must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time • Must be able to perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of equipment and materials • Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.; push/pull up to 100 lbs. • Must be able to perform frequent squatting/crouching to handle and position equipment and materials • Must be able to frequently reach above shoulder level, at waist level and below waist level • Must be able to bend and twist • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions We offer competitive pay for this physically demanding job in addition to medical, dental & vision insurance, paid sick leave, vacation and holidays and 401(k) with company match.
