This annual conference includes current trends and issues important to EMS. The in person conference provides 8 CEH's, lunch and snacks. This conference is provided with support and funding assistance from the Healthcare 5 Coalition, Johnson County EMS Association and Johnson County Ambulance. Lunch is catered by Ruzicka's - Solon and morning snacks by My Mom's Bakery in Ely. In order to attend the conference in person you MUST produce proof you have had both doses of COVID vaccine, masks are required and our attendance is based to try to maintain social distancing, the venue has 400 seats and our normal expected in person attendance is 150 or less.Those signing up to attend virtually the instructions and links will be sent out during the week before the conference if attendance is pre-paid. JCEMSA members the conference is free and please bring your Salamander cards JCEMA issued to swipe in and out of classes. Salamander cards will be provided for non JCEMSA members and those who do not have them. This years topics include: 1) COVID 19 : Mutating is it the Only Pathogen of Concern?; 2) Mental Health / Peer Support; 3) Law Updates: What's New; 4) Childbirth; 5) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Protocols): Is CPR the Answer?; 6) Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI); 7) Environmental Emergencies; 8) Respiratory Emergencies. A total of 8 CEH's will be provided through Kirkwood Community College.
