Description
I just bought a 1950 house. The washer and dryer hookups are in the family room/dining room. I'd like to get a cabinet created to "box in" the washer and dryer to cut down on noise.
I'd like this cabinet to have a countertop I can use to prep for cooking.
Add a shelf between washer and dryer.
Put doors on the front to enclose everything.
Make it so doors can be pushed in and don't stick out when loading/unloading clothes.
Review and tell me your price to make this cabinet.
Here are the measurements:
Width: 70". Washer & dryer are each 27" wide, but I want to leave space between them for a roll-in shelf that can hold my detergent, etc. We can go wider, but I'd like to keep it no more than a couple more inches wide.
Height: At the highest point it needs to be 41" to 42" including top of the counter. I'd like to go lower, but we are limited by plumbing restrictions. My machines are 36" high, (but should I need to replace them newer ones are average 38"). The lowest the counter itself can go will be 41".
Depth: The depth should be 32".
Photos include current furnishings and nearby cabinetry. All of the counter tops are light in color. This old kitchen has laminate. We are trying to create 3 pieces to match - an eat-in counter with counter similar in color to single cabinet in photo, a 32" base cabinet for next to my stove*, and the washer/dryer piece.
If you can build a cabinet to go next to stove, here are the dimensions: one 32"W kitchen cabinet base, 24"D and 35"H. I have a countertop that might be able to be used.
