SALEM, MA — New coronavirus vaccination appointments for the Salem State University site will not go online Saturday due to lack of committed state supply. Salem officials announced Friday night that the state has not confirmed it will provide vaccine for the site that has served residents of Beverly, Danvers, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott for the past month. The site had been posting appointments for the following week on Saturdays. If vaccine doses are supplied by the state for this site at some point this week, they will be announced here. "Many hospitals and health care providers will resume providing COVID-19 vaccines on or after March 1," Salem officials said in a release. "For most providers, they will contact eligible patients directly to schedule appointments. If you have questions, you should contact your health care provider directly or look for information from them being sent out via mail, text message and app this week and in the coming days."
