Hello my name is Scott! Spring is here and I will be looking to start some community gardens. These will be vegetable, fruits, greens and herb gardens. Small or big! Grow your own food! Gain your independence & health! I will teach you! I live in Clearlake, CA and will be back for spring, summer and fall. I am a very active organic gardener, carpenter, and mason, with a passion in permaculture. I have lived in California, Wisconsin, Florida and France and enjoy growing in every type of climate. I have a bachelors of science degree in Construction Management (CSU Chico) and a passion for sustainability. So for the gardens, I am open to any ideas. If you just want to learn, I own some land and will have my own gardens you can help at but I am also interested in starting some community gardens. These community gardens can be at your house, your neighborhood, a school, a church, or any similar like place. I will help you start your own garden using productive techniques and local materials. Starting a garden doesn't have to be expensive when you know what your doing, many times it's even free! I will also provide my labor along with some tools I have. In exchange I take donations of any size, food, or even old items you don't want such as tools or building materials. Don't worry if you don't have much or anything at all, I understand times are tough and that's why I think it's so important people learn how to grow their own food. Like they say, "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime!" Let's start talking and we can get some gardens going! I am still in France at the moment so please respond to the email and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Once I am back in the states than we can talk over the phone/text and eventually in person. I am open to all sorts of ideas, let me know what your thinking!
