MOUNT SINAI, NY — A cemetery employee was killed while digging a grave Thursday morning in Mount Sinai, Suffolk police said. Rodwin Allicock, 42, of Coram, was leveling out the bottom of a grave at Washington Memorial Park at 855 Canal Road when the sides collapsed on him around 8:30 a.m., police said. His co-workers tried to dig him out of the grave, which was more than 7 feet deep, but they were unsuccessful, police said. Allicock was pronounced dead at the scene.
