Dan Dunn will serve as an interim Select Board member, filling in for Joseph Curro Jr., who recently resigned. Dunn's term expires on April 10, town Election Day.
Four members voted Monday, Feb. 22, for Dunn. Len Diggins voted for Precinct 12 Town Meeting member Gordon Jamieson. See the letters of interest from both candidates >>
Dunn served on what was then called the Board of Selectmen beginning in 2011. He declined to run for reelection in 2019.
Voting in favor of Dunn were board Chair John Hurd, Diane Mahon, Stephen DeCourcey and Town Moderator John Leone.
"I can do service to the town by performing this role for a short period of time," Dunn said. "I served nine years on the Select Board, so have the experience. In the past, the board has put on former members who can easily ramp up to speed."
DeCourcey, who served with Dunn on the Finance Committee, commented, "Dunn's experience will be very useful to the board."
More will be reported about the meeting, which went past midnight.
