Team Keenan Allen AAU Try-Outs Team Details: This elite program is sponsored by Keenan Allen LA Chargers WR #13. Keenan's mission is to provide a platform for talented athletes to display their unique abilities. Along side Keenan AAU Director and Head Coach Jalen Lake helps form competitive teams and puts each athlete in a position to succeed. Team Keenan Allen currently holds 3 out of 6 players in the San Diego County with D1 scholarships for 2021. Please keep a look out for the testimonials from current players, parents, and college coach's that we have worked with. Tryouts: All participants planning to attend tryouts must register and pay the non-refundable $15 tryout fee. Tryouts will be made up of drills and scrimmages. We will split the athletes up accordingly. Your child will be given a number upon check in. Please make sure you are 30 minutes early to give time for check in. Tryouts will start at 5:00pm sharp Try-Out Safety: Temperatures will be taken. Any players that reach 100.3 and above will not be allowed to participate. Players and coaches are to wear masks in the building. MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. Parents are not allowed in the gym or lobby areas. Players must bring their own water bottle. Tournaments: Tournament play will begin in April. We plan to have final schedules set once we have fully evaluated teams, and hear back from Adidas. Teams will play locally, regionally and nationally according to level of the team. Tournaments can be added as the season progresses per coach and player commitment. Practices: The Spring/Summer AAU season practices will begin in Mid-March. Each team will practice on average two times per week. Each practice will range from 90-120 minutes unless the team coach schedules differently. Most practices will be held on weeknights. We will have the official nights of practice set once teams are completed. Unless communicated with the coach, it is very important that players are consistently attending practices in order to get the proper playing time etc. Fees: For the 2021 season, fees will be collected monthly. Fees will be discussed once your player is on the team. Fees will be based on the number of roster spots, tournaments, out-of-state tournaments, and other factors. We do not pay for travel expenses for out of state tournaments or AAU cards. Uniforms will NOT be included in the fees . There will be a uniform package available once your child is on the team. There will be NO REFUNDS once a commitment is made to accept a roster spot, including the deposit as well as other payments made towards the team fees. Fees include paid coaches, 3-4 tournaments in the metro area or out of state, and the opportunity to play on Adidas circuit with top talent. After Try-Outs: We will ONLY make calls to players who MAKE THE TEAM. Calls will be made the Monday night after tryouts. Acceptance of spot needs to be by noon March 9th, 2021 or we will need to offer to someone else. Once you accept a spot on a team, we will collect a deposit to hold your roster spot.
