Parenting Tips for Single Moms is designed to provide tips, ideas, and solutions to some of the most common concerns facing single parents. A collaboration of Catherine O'Brien, founder of Happy With Baby and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience in the psychology field and Tara Taylor, founder of Single Mom Strong this course was created specifically to meet the needs of mothers in the Single Mom Strong community. Our "Parenting Tips for Single Moms " Empowerment Workshop is designed to provide tips, ideas, and solutions to some of the most common concerns single parents face, as well as celebrate the joys of a single parent family. Our discussion will include: -Mom-guilt: we will discuss re-framing, seeing the family as a team and other tools to counteract this burden that all moms feel, but can feel even heavier for single moms. -Discipline: we will discuss the importance of creating clear rules and strategies for upholding boundaries and enforcing consequences -Overcompensation: every single mom does it, so we will learn to recognize when you do it and create limits AND MORE, from how to address questions related to the absent (or somewhat absent) parent to why "it takes a village" and the importance of asking for help. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with other single mothers, while gaining valuable insight into your parenting experience. This workshop is being offered via zoom. Zoom details will be emailed to attendees the day before the event. Our hope is that we will reconvene our LIVE workshops in April (stay tuned!) but in the meantime, CHILDCARE WILL BE OFFERED IN OUR EMPOWERMENT CENTER FOR THIS WORKSHOP. if utilizing childcare, you may choose to engage in the zoom from our courtyard, a coffee shop or wherever you are able to be fully present. Aren't local or don't need childcare, stay home and enjoy! As with all events in our Empowerment Center, childcare is available for PRE-REGISTERED children, and dinner is always included.
