MIDDLETOWN, CT — Four people were displaced from their home after an apartment fire early Friday morning in Middletown, according to officials.
The American Red Cross is assisting three adults and one child after a fire on College Street, officials said.
Firefighters extinguished a two-alarm fire around 1 a.m. at the apartment building on the corner of College Street and Hamlin Court, according to fire officials.
"A working fire was called, along with a second alarm as heavy fire was found in one of the apartments," officials wrote on the City of Middletown Professional Firefighters Local 1073 union's Facebook page. "The fire was extinguished by personnel on scene and no injuries were reported."
The Meriden, South Fire and Westfield fire departments assisted at the scene while the Portland and Cromwell fire departments provided station coverage, according to officials.
