Description

As modeled in the photo, some might say the Hamden Rotary Club has BEARy perfect timing! The Club's donation of 500 masks to The Children's Center will help the agency safely welcome children back to in-person after-school sessions. "We are looking forward to having the children back in person," said Sheila Purushotham, LCSW and Extended Day Treatment Program Director at the Center. Sheila's team has creatively engaged the children throughout the pandemic with a variety of virtual opportunities. The Center will continue to offer virtual sessions for families who prefer remote services. For others a hybrid model or a full in-person plan will be available. The Hamden Rotary Club has donated masks several times since the pandemic began. "We are incredibly grateful to the Rotary Club for their donation. The younger children will be excited to have such fun masks to wear during program," anticipates Sheila. The program provides treatment to children in grades K-12, Monday through Friday after school and shifts to meeting 9:00-1:00 during the summer. Therapy includes groups, individual and family sessions. Transportation is provided. To learn more about the program contact Katelyn Morency [email protected] The Center's website is www.tccoh.org
