DENVER, CO — The Colorado Rockies were approved for a variance that allows fans back into Coors Field. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment approved the variance, which will allow 12,500 fans into the stadium on opening day — 25% of the stadium's capacity. The Rockies will begin the season at home against the Los Angeles Dodgers April 1. "To create a safe and healthy experience for fans, players and staff, the Rockies have implemented all required CDPHE, CDC and MLB policies and guidelines," the team said in a statement. "The Rockies and CDPHE will continue to monitor the conditions, with the hope of safely adding to the capacity number in the future." Don't miss the latest news updates in Colorado.
