Woman Dies After Shooting On West Colfax

DENVER, CO — A woman died after she was shot Saturday in Denver, authorities said. Three people were arrested in connection with the case — two juveniles and a man, police said. The woman was driving a vehicle around 10:45 p.m. near West Colfax Avenue and I-25, when she was shot several times, police said. She was hospitalized in critical condition, and she died Wednesday evening, authorities said. A vehicle was seen driving away after the shooting, and officers saw the same vehicle just after midnight, police said. After a chase, officers were able to stop the vehicle near West Byers Place and South Tejon Street. Three people ran from the vehicle but were caught and arrested soon after, police said. One juvenile was released from custody but the other juvenile remains in custody. He also faces first-degree murder charges. The woman who was killed has been identified as Pamela Cabriales.
