Press release from the Denver Zoo: Week of 02.29.21 wildlife Animal Sciences A green tree monitor hatched out at Tropical Discovery.The camel encounters, after a brief review and adjustment, are preparing to go back on line for guests.We have a Humboldt penguin chick that is doing well. Sex remains to be determined.We have put together a plan to move animals around in primates. Some of these moves are AZA Accreditation related and others are to make way for future improvements. These initial moves are in preparation of future moves to get the monkeys out of Old Monks in late 2022/early 2023. We are working on a plan for what animals will go out on Monkey Island after those moves.
