By Editor, Times of San Diego February 27, 2021 As a part of a $120 million expansion, Del Mar Highlands Town Center will welcome 15 new tenants, including restaurants, fitness and lifestyle outlets, by May. More than 80 retailers share space at the center. The additions include: Beauty and wellness – Modern Acupuncture (already open), Beverly Hills Rejuvenation, LuLu Nails, Salted Barber, Atelier Optical.Fitness – Stretch Lab, Title Boxing Club, Row House.Specialty – Dirty Dogs and Meow.Restaurants – Iceskimo (set to open in March), Micheline's Pita House; Xin Chao, A Vietnamese Eatery; Ike's Love & Sandwiches, Breakers Coffee + Wine, and Ceviche Craft.The center also continues to plan for the Sky Deck restaurant collective, with 13 culinary, cocktail and craft beer concepts. Sky Deck options include a central cocktail bar with dining – Understory by Scott Slater; an outdoor "brewer's deck" featuring Northern Pine, Rough Draft Brewing and Boochcraft Kombucha, and other eateries serving Italian, Mexican, Thai, French and Japanese fare. The center is part of the group of 60 centers owned and operated by Costa Mesa-based Donahue Schriber, a company structured as a REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) with more than $3.5 billion in assets.
