This is a part-time role with flexible hours. You will create an engaging and productive learning experience for students. The ideal candidate will be a bright, passionate, and ambitious professional with excellent interpersonal, math, instruction, and tutoring skills. This opportunity presents the right candidate a unique career path focused on helping the community and working with students, as well as, a rich experience developing professional skills. All applicants are required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check. Following hiring, the new team member is required to complete training in the Mathnasium Method™. Job Responsibilities Our instructors will be trained to use the Mathnasium method to instruct and provide personalized math instruction. Curriculum and materials are pre-determined, there are no homework assignments for students and no lesson plans for the instructors to prepare. Work with students from 1 through 12th grade teaching them in a way that makes sense to themProvide effective and concise math instruction using the Mathnasium MethodAssist with school math homework tutoringProviding exceptional instruction/tutoring services to studentWork collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for studentsAssist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed Qualifications: A passion for math and working with studentsHigh level math skills through Pre Calculus levelExcellent interpersonal skillsWillingness to learn and be trainedRising high school juniors and seniors in the advanced math track should consider applying to this opportunity  Scheduling Requirements Flexible schedulingShifts average 2 to 4 hoursInstruction hours:Mondays – Thursdays (3:00 pm – 7:00 pm)Sundays (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
