Volunteer Boat Crew Members Needed

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is looking for volunteers interested in working in our boatcrew operations program. Crew members will go on operational patrols under US Coast Guard orders to assist boaters in distress, check on the status of grounded boats to determine if they are leaking substances that would hurt the environment, and look for unusual activities near critical infrastructure that may pose a security threat. Extensive training, both on land and on the water is required to perform this duty and will be provided. Opportunities to participate in other Auxiliary activities such as boating safety education and boating safety exams are also available. No boat is required, however we are looking for boat owners that would be willing to participate in the program. A background check will be conducted.
