Description
Friends of Ballona Wetlands, a 501(c)(3) non-profit environmental group located in Playa Del Rey, is hosting a free webinar open to the public on March 1st at 5PM.
The webinar will present updates on the state's Ballona Wetlands Restoration Project, now that a full tidal restoration plan (Alternative 1) was selected and the Environmental Impact Report has been certified by the State of California.
Activists opposed to the restoration have filed lawsuits to stop it, and have asked the court to make taxpayers pay for their court costs and attorney fees.
The presentations feature Mr. Richard Brody, Land Manager of the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve from the California Department of Fish & Wildlife. There will be a question and answer session following the presentations.
Members of the public may register for the webinar at this Link.
Enjoy your Ballona Wetlands!
