JOB DESCRIPTION: Our Shipper/Receiver (S/R) uses purchase order information to prepare products for shipping and to verify incoming materials meet requirements. The S/R ensures that the shipments are inspected, sorted and stored in the warehouse or stocked on shelves as needed. Other job duties include loading and unloading of trucks, properly storing received inventory, and entering shipping data into the Company's computer system. The S/R must inspect the shipment before it is shipped and ensure the pick ticket matches the items in the box and the shipping address is correct. The S/R has complete responsibility for packing, sealing, and labeling products. Just like the S/R inspects the merchandise before it is shipped, the S/R must also inspect inbound products and record information about items such as weight and damage, if any. RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive incoming motor freight and UPS shipmentsPromptly unload trucks and sort and stock productsVerify inbound and outbound shipments by inspecting, counting/measuring in quantities, and checking part number accuracyPrepare shipments by picking, packing and labeling boxes, skids, and containersComplete shipping records and documentsRe-stocking bins, shelves and storage racksMaintain clean, neat and orderly workstation and warehouseWork with fellow employees and delivery drivers with a friendly, positive attitude The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate he/she can comfortable do the following: Bend, stoop and crawl, and be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time Lift and carry up to 70-lbs Maintain high performance levels and meet deadlines under limited supervision Prioritize activities that are needed to meet daily shipping-receiving requirements in a fast-paced warehouse Interact with a wide range of people at varying levels within the Company Comply with rules, policies and procedures QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or GED equivalency A valid driver's license 2-3 years of shipping-receiving, or general warehouse, experience Clearly speak, read and write the English language, and perform basic mathematical skills Pass basic skills assessment tests Pass fitness and agility tests Pass background check, drug screening tests, and vehicle license checkHigh attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environmentHigh attention to company's health and safety rulesAble to work independently and within a teamHours: 8:30 – 5:00 PM Monday thru FridayWage: $15.00/hour Benefits: Comprehensive Package includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance; Flex Benefits Plan; 401(k) Plan and Profit Sharing NOTE: All AIRMATIC facilities are non-smoking, and the Company makes no accommodations for smokers.
