LIVERMORE, CA — The Livermore Public Library will host a free virtual question and answer session with a University of the Pacific biology professor next month that will address inquiries on all things gardening. The session, which features Mark Brunell, the past president of the California Botanical Society, will be held over Zoom at 10:30 a.m. on March 20. The seminar will address questions on seed starting, soil preparation, water-wise gardening, irrigation, planting and growing tomatoes, pest control and other topics. Brunell is a founding member of the Fertile Groundworks in Livermore and of the Ted and Chris Robb Garden in Stockton. The seminar is free to the public and can be accessed by clicking on this link.
