GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. ARRESTS RETAIL THEFT Fernando N. Mendoza, 37, of the 800 block of 8th Street, Northfield, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 3 a.m. Feb. 18 at the Glenview Police Department, 2500 East Lake Avenue. The arrest followed an investigation that started on Dec. 16, 2020, in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road. He was also arrested on the same charge for an investigation in the same location on Jan. 13. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of March 22 in Skokie. JaJuan L. Shannon, 23, of the 300 block of Wall Street, Kankakee, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 2:26 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Glenview Police Station. The charge came following an investigation that began on Jan. 26. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of March 25 in Skokie. VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION Victor E. Campuzano, 54, of the 1000 block of Ashton Court, Streamwood, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested at 11:23 a.m. Feb. 18 at the Glenview Police Department. An investigation prior to the arrest began on Feb. 8 in Glenview. He was held for a bond hearing On Feb. 19 in Skokie. DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSEJesus Hernandez-Pedraza, 18, of the 10300 block of Michael Todd Terrace, Glenview, is accused of driving with a suspended license, speeding, and was arrested at 3:45 p.m Feb. 24 in the 2700 block of Patriot Boulevard. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of March 25 in Skokie. INCIDENTS BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE A resident in the 2500 block of Waterview Drive reported at 4 p.m. Feb. 16 someone entered their vehicle during the overnight hours and stole numerous personal items. Total reported loss is $800. DISORDERLY CONDUCT An employee of a hotel in the 1800 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 to report an unknown man threatened them when they asked the man if he was a registered guest. The unknown man could not be located. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE An employee of a company in the 3200 block of West Lake Avenue reported at 1:28 p.m. Feb. 21 someone attempted to pry open the doors to one of their vehicles. Total reported damage is $2,000. HARASSMENT THROUGH ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION DEVICE A Pam Anne Drive resident called police at 10:46 p.m. Feb. 21 to report a former acquaintance is sending them unwanted text messages.
