ELMHURST, IL — A man was driving in Elmhurst on Wednesday morning when an intoxicated woman waved him down, police said. She appeared to have injuries to the face. When the man stopped near West and Grantley avenues, the woman entered his car and requested a ride, but he refused, according to a police report. The woman then got out and entered a white van. The man then left the area. Officers were called, but they could not find the woman. She was described as white, 40 to 50 years old and wearing a dark jacket.
