Press release from the City of Carlsbad: February 26, 2021 The Community Development Block Grant is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The program provides funds to eligible cities and counties to help develop viable urban communities the lives of lower income families. Social service organizations may apply for grant funding for activities that benefit lower income residents in Carlsbad. The CDBG Advisory Committee will review applications and develop funding recommendation that will be presented by city staff to the City Council for final approval in May 2021. Organizations can now apply on the city's website. The deadline for all applications is March 17, 2021.
