Great long-term position with an excellent, reputable company in Rancho Bernardo! Working in a chilled facility distributing and loading food onto trucks for delivery. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. This company operates 24/7, 365 days a year! Responsibilities: Operating powered equipment inside of a cold food distribution center, counting and relocating product, loading pallets and trucks, checking inbound and outbound product for any damage, and ensuring products match customer requirements. Responsible for handling frozen food and materials, will be using RF scanner to track products pulled in database. Must be comfortable working for prolonged periods in a cold environment, dress warmly and perform basic job duties as expected. Primary Duties: • Load product onto equipment, pallets or totes and assist in physical inventories • Put-away and pick product for shipment or stock, insure the exact number and type of products, ordered by the customer, are checked and loaded correctly • Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customer's order to ensure outgoing product shipments are complete and correct • Maintain the facility and the facility's equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion • Inspect all operated equipment daily. Complete daily inspection of equipment • Perform other duties as assigned by management and the customers Requirements: Comfortable working in cold environment, distribution or warehouse experience preferred, reliable transportation, okay working weekends and holidays, HS diploma or higher required, ability to stand for long periods of time, comfortable with bending and lifting, material handling experience is plus.
